The Spanish Professional Handball Clubs League – ASOBAL expands its commitment to social sustainability with the launch of the ASOBAL Inclusive League, a new project integrated into the ASOBAL Legacy League (ALL), the sustainable identity of the professional competition that encompasses initiatives developed in the social, environmental, and governance areas.

With this initiative, ASOBAL continues the inclusive handball actions promoted by the organization and its clubs in previous seasons, structuring them within a common participation framework within the ASOBAL Legacy League. The project takes as its starting point the events held in Aranda de Duero and Cuenca during the past season, which laid the foundations for the development of this structured and ongoing proposal.

The first edition will feature the regular participation of six inclusive sections linked to clubs from the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL 2026/27: ABANCA Ademar León, Bathco BM. Torrelavega, BM. Caserío Ciudad Real, REBI Balonmano Cuenca, Recoletas Salud At. Valladolid, and Viveros Herol BM. Nava. Joining them as guests will be Balonmano Guadalajara, Club Balonmano Mislata, and Balonmano Barakaldo, expanding participation to other entities linked to the development of inclusive handball.

Two preliminary phases by sectors and a final phase at a single venue

The schedule will be structured over three matchdays, with two preliminary phases and a final phase. The first two will be organized by geographic sectors and held simultaneously, aiming to facilitate travel and encourage participation from all teams.

The 2026/27 edition will kick off on November 1, with Nava de la Asunción (Segovia) as the venue for the North Sector and Ciudad Real as the venue for the Central-South Sector. The second gathering, corresponding to the last preliminary phase, will take place during the weekend of January 23 and 24. The first edition will conclude with a final phase at a single venue, scheduled for the weekend of May 8 and 9.
