Viktor Hallgrímsson will defend Barça's goal until 2027.

The goalkeeper Viktor Hallgrímsson will be the substitute for Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas in Barcelona's goal and will form a duo with Emil Nielsen in a contract that will link him, for the next two seasons, with the current Champion of the Plenitude League and the EHF Champions League.

The Icelander will land in Barcelona from the Polish Orlen Wisla Plock with an extensive career at club and national selection level at only 24 years old. The goalkeeper took his first steps in Fram Reykjavik of Iceland before making the jump to the Danish GOG and, later, to the French HBC Nantes.
