Recoletas At. Valladolid has carried out an act of claim and show of support for those affected by the so-called 'rare diseases' this day, within the framework of World Rare Disease Day (February 28), in collaboration with the Association of Autoimmune Diseases and Vasculitis Castilla y León (EAVACYL). The pupils of David Pisonero, with the complicity of their weekend rival, Fraikin BM. Granollers, who also joined the action, jumped onto the court with their game shirt turned inside out, wearing the number on the front, normalizing a detail that could be defined as 'rare', to pose minutes later with a banner that contained the slogan “When we talk about Rare Diseases, we are talking about people”.
The action had the participation of technicians, players, referees, representatives of EAVACYL and the vice president of the club, Ana Solana, publicly leading the umpteenth initiative of the Corporate Social Responsibility program of Recoletas At. Valladolid, an active part in the dissemination of different social and solidarity initiatives. The success of the claim served as the first stone and context for another spectacular afternoon of ASOBAL handball at the Huerta del Rey, which maintains a full victory so far this season.
