These are the new candidates for the ASOBAL Hall of Fame.

ASOBAL has announced this Thursday the 10 candidates to be part of the second edition of the ASOBAL Hall of Fame (HoF), the space that values the historical talent of the professional competition, which turns 40 years next May 18th. Rafa Guijosa, Lorenzo Rico, Valero Rivera, Cristina Fernández Piñeiro, Juan Francisco Alemany, Alberto Entrerríos, Veselin Vujovic, Albert Rocas, Manolo Cadenas and Mateo Garralda are the names on the list defined by the Merit Commission of the project.

Five professionals will finally make up the second generation of the Hall of Fame of the elite of Spanish men's handball clubs. The process to choose them is already underway, on the one hand, through a voting system open to fans of the professional competition on the ASOBAL website, from this Thursday, March 27, until next April 10.

The popular vote, one more year, runs parallel to the decision of the ASOBAL Hall of Fame Jury, led by the president of the entity, Servando Revuelta, and made up of a member of the Superior Council of Sports (CSD), of the Real Federación Española de Balonmano (RFEBM), the Asociación de Jugadores de Balonmano (AJBM), the European Handball League Board (EHLB) and representatives of the Spanish sports press and of the historical clubs that are currently playing in the Liga Plenitude.

The names of the new five members of the ASOBAL Hall of Fame will be announced next Tuesday, April 22. The winners, repeating the staging, will receive the 'Hall of Famer' award at the next edition of the ASOBAL Gala. The chosen ones, in this way, will join the members of the HoF of the first edition: Talant Dujshebaev, Enric Masip, Juanín García, Jota Hombrados, Juan de Dios Román, Ramón Gallego and Cecilio Alonso.
