ASOBAL has announced this afternoon the candidates to integrate the 'All Star Team' of the Plenitude League 2024-2025, made up of the categories of best left winger, left back, center, right back, right winger, pivot, goalkeeper, best coach, revelation player and best defender. Fans of the professional competition can now choose their ideal team through the official survey, generated in the ASOBAL whatsapp group, open from this moment until Wednesday May 14th at 23:59h.
As in previous editions, the final choice will come from the sum of the popular vote (40%), the decision making of the ASOBAL clubs (40%) -through the 16 captains, coaches and a representative of the management or board of directors- and the criteria of the specialized sports press (20%). The ‘All Star 2025’ will be made public next Wednesday, May 21st, days before the celebration of the ASOBAL Gala 24/25. The winners will receive their award at the big end-of-season event of the Plenitude League that will take place on Monday, June 2nd in Madrid.
List of criteria
The candidates to be part of the ideal ASOBAL team have been selected based on the individual statistics of the current Plenitude League, their presence in different sports recognition spaces (7 ideal, MVP of the Day, nominations for MVP Plenitude), performance within the collective scope and the ability to champion the values of sportsmanship, commitment, dedication and respect that characterize our sport.
In the case of the categories of revelation player and best coach, the impact on the Plenitude League, athletic growth compared to previous seasons, the achievement of historic milestones within the register of professional competition, as well as the conquest of the champion title are also valued.
