David and Alejandro Pisonero are much more than a cornerstone of the Recoletas At. Valladolid project. They are a love story for handball, tradition and idols of ASOBAL territories, key piece of the legacy of the professional competition seal. "Just getting closer here, at Huerta del Rey, and watching the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League live, seeing the show, the contact, the intensity, these great players with that speed, you get hooked", David explains to ASOBAL, from the heart of the Valladolid court.

On Father's Day, the coach values from the ASOBAL microphones a way of living and loving professional competition, which passes from generation to generation, rooted in the heart of their clubs. "He has had a stage of great success, in different places, but especially here, in Valladolid. This has been a transition. His past work and my current one are related, as if everything happens here, on the Huerta court. It is a generational transition, with the same values. I would put a video of Huerta del Rey for people, of these apocalyptic victories in the last second, and they would see what this competition atmosphere is like," Alejandro comments, in the same line.

Father and son, coach and orchestra director, unravel in the documentary the success formula that governs their relationship, inside and outside the 40x20. "I've been training him since he was very young. It's been the easy part. In fact, he makes it easy. With treating him like one more, that's it, with trying to normalize that situation in the dressing room, that's it. The bad side of the equation is his. He is the one who endures my 'tyranny' in the dressing room with his teammates," the coach points out, highlighting the role of the center, key in this duo, showing his more personal side. "We have been managing this situation for a long time, knowing what your role is in each place. Sharing the same passion is not a problem, quite the opposite. In the bad times, in sports and off the court, you have support, as a coach and as a father. And in victories, you still want to share with him even more," adds Alejandro.
