Liga NEXUS ENERGIA ASOBAL ASOBAL
19/09/2025 | Iñigo Sanz Liga NEXUS ENERGIA ASOBAL ASOBAL

The NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League begins this afternoon the second day of the official calendar, continuing the great staging of the first weekend of the 2025/2026 season. Always live on LALIGA+, Viveros Herol BM. Nava and Frigoríficos del Morrazo will be the protagonists of this Friday's ASOBAL handball (20h), looking to open their points locker. The Guerrer@s Naveros enter the scene and ask to become again one of the cornerstones of the competition, showing passion and support for some colors.

IRUDEK Bidasoa Irun will travel from Artaleku to Alcalde Miguel Salas to face a Cajasol Ángel Ximénez Puente Genil (17:30h) who wants to celebrate his naming premiere and new strategic link with the two points. The team from Pontano continues to grow both inside and outside the court, establishing itself in capitals within the elite of Spanish men's club handball. The project led by Nacho Valles, the competition's top assistant so far, will be a maximum test.

'Match of the Day' returns to Ciudad Real

The 'Match of the Day' party moves this round to the Quijote Arena, which returns to ASOBAL territory and will be a luxury spectator of the duel between its BM. Caserío Ciudad Real and REBI Balonmano Cuenca, live on LALIGA+ and Teledeporte (18:30h). Another match of maximum equality, with the reward of victory and the goal of adding the first points of the season on the table. Joao Perbelini's arm is seen as the main offensive argument of the visitors after signing 13 goals last week. The Palau Blaugrana, for its part, will be the venue for the main clash at the top of the standings.

Barça and Recoletas At. Valladolid will measure forces and states of form with the leadership at stake (19h). Bada Huesca and Tubos Aranda Villa de Aranda will close the ASOBAL Saturday (20:30h) on the 40x20 of the Municipal of Huesca comparing dynamics, between the weight of the result and the court factor. The Palacio Municipal de los Deportes Urbano González Escapa will open its doors again for the ABANCA Ademar León-Fraikin BM. Granollers (12:30h), another of the great classics of the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League. The MVP of the first day, Marcos Fis, against Gonzalo Pérez Arce's also left-handed (9 goals in the first match) to ensure the show.

The Bathco BM. Torrelavega-BM. Logroño La Rioja (19h) and SANICENTRO BM. Guadalajara-Horneo EÓN Alicante complete the set of matches this round. Jacobo Cuétara's team will try to secure the victory against the Riojans, defining a good competitive picture just a few days ago, with a very toned Álvaro Martínez (7 goals). The pupils of Juan Carlos Requena, for their part, call again the public of David Santamaría to try to beat Horneo EÓN Alicante (20:30h), in search of the first two points in ASOBAL of their history.
