The NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League closes the first round with the 'Match of the Week 15' and a festive atmosphere in León.

The NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League will close the first half of the 2025/26 season this Saturday, December 20th, with the match corresponding to Matchday 15 between ABANCA Ademar León and Tubos Aranda Villa de Aranda at the Palacio de los Deportes de León. On the occasion of this last highlighted match of the day before the halfway point of the competition, the professional league, in collaboration with the local club, has prepared a special event to put the finishing touch to the first half of the championship, in a day in the run-up to the Christmas holidays designed to strengthen the ties between ASOBAL and the Spanish handball community.

Among the most notable actions planned before and after the match, ASOBAL will pay a special tribute to the Military Emergency Unit (UME), in recognition of their work in recent performances carried out at various points in the country. Interventions such as those carried out during the DANA in Valencia or the fires that occurred this summer in various areas of the national territory have highlighted the commitment, dedication and public service of the UME, values that the competition wants to make visible and thank.

The tribute will include a pre-match event involving the clubs and players of both teams, along with members of the UME battalion, as a starting point for a match that will serve to close the first half of the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League and give way to the expected ‘Match of the Day 15’ on the eve of the Christmas holidays.

The handball party moves from the Palacio de los Deportes to Teledeporte

The handball party at the Palacio de los Deportes de León will not only be exclusive to the fans present in the pavilion, but will also move to the screens of all homes through Teledeporte. The handball community will be able to enjoy this great event live and open through the thematic channel of RTVE. The main course of the day, the expected ‘Match of the Day 15’ between ABANCA Ademar León and Tubos Aranda Villa de Aranda, will be the main protagonist on television from 5:00 p.m. Thus, all fans, wherever they are, will be able to experience the excitement and intensity of this high-level duel, with the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League as the protagonist.
