The ASOBAL League participated this morning in the presentation of the 16th edition of the Sports Sponsorship Barometer developed by the prestigious SPSG Consulting, within the framework of the event schedule organized by the Marketing Association of Spain. The event, held at the Beatriz Auditorium in Madrid and led by the CEO of SPSG Consulting, Carlos Cantó, was attended by the General Secretary of ASOBAL, Fernando Corral, in a roundtable space alongside leaders of entities from our country's sports elite such as LALIGA, the Spanish Paralympic Committee, the Sail GP Team Spain, NJF Sports and Media or Andorra Business.

"We are working on different consulting and development projects because we cannot only depend on the handball follower", explained Corral, in charge of developing different strategic points of the Plenitude League expansion project as a professional competition. "The first step is to lay the foundations of the project well, increase sport handball, improve this show, and get closer to the fan fond of sports and entertainment. We are at that point, with a lot of work and enthusiasm", he added.

Fernando Corral has focused on the product definition work that the ASOBAL League is carrying out and that involves all the actors in the ecosystem of the first men's handball competition of Spanish clubs. "Our job is to educate the clubs. We are carrying out this process alongside LALIGA, which is being an essential mentor. Beyond having reached an agreement at the level of television rights, they are helping us in the process of professionalizing the League and clubs in terms of marketing, business management, data protection, audiovisual rights, etc. They are an example to follow", he commented.

The expansion work is not limited to the business sphere. The General Secretary of ASOBAL has highlighted the value of the synergies with Plenitude Spain and its role in the common project of turning the Plenitude League into the first national professional competition with a carbon footprint 0. "Hand in hand with our main sponsor, Plenitude Spain, we are committed to becoming a carbon-neutral league. We have established a plan that will begin to be implemented during the second half of this season. A general rehearsal was carried out at the ASOBAL Cup that was held in Zaragoza and that meant seeing how a match with a carbon footprint 0 was managed, and we have another example in the Bidasoa Irun-Barça of this course, where the local team was able to measure the carbon footprint from the plastic that was used, the garbage generated, the type of displacement of people to the stadium, etc. and manage to neutralize it with different actions. The objective is to transfer all this to the Plenitude League", says Fernando Corral.
