The match between Fraikin BM. Granollers and Barça from this last round continued its journey of collecting incentives and reinforcing its condition as its own brand within the Plenitude League calendar. The list of arguments to consider it one of the great matches of the international handball season is increasingly extensive. From the very high sports level of both teams, with an open scoreboard and excitement until the last minutes, to the color that dressed the stands of the Palau d'Esports de Granollers, a record detail.

The white-and-blue enclosure signed a historic attendance of 5,100 fans who enjoyed the best show of elite Spanish club handball. The figure is the best attendance data in a match of the current Plenitude League since 2012, tied with the record that left -precisely- the clash between Granollers and Helvetia Anatasuna the 2018/2019 season (round 3, with a result of 28-25). It is, in addition, the best statistic in the history of ASOBAL as a Professional League and the best data after the Covid-19 pandemic that paralyzed the sports ecosystem and emptied the seats of each pavilion.

This latest edition of the 'Great Derby' exceeded the records of the 2023 edition, which signed 4,500 fans during the dispute of the 16th round (22-37 on the scoreboard with victory for Carlos Ortega's team). Beyond the relationship of duels between Barça and Granollers, the clash that this weekend is taken by the current League champions is the sixth with the most attendance in ASOBAL handball since the 1997/1998 course. In 1998 a Barça-Valladolid called 8,000 people at the Palau Blaugrana (26th round of the league calendar) to experience what was one of the great duels of the category, key in the fight for the top positions in the classification.
