The Blue Gladiators are already preparing for a new Plenitude League.

The team led by David Pisonero faces six weeks of work to arrive in the best form at the start of the official season, with the Plentiude League as the central pillar of the choral planning. The coach has been able to count on six of the signings from this last market, Gerard Forns, the center Karapalevski, the Egyptian Gedo and the already presented Portuguese Oliveira and Ribeiro, as well as the international youth goalkeeper from the subsidiary Nico Giráldez. Juan Bar will join the Valladolid discipline in the coming weeks after participating with Argentina in the Paris Olympics.

Among the participants in the first sessions, the presence of Pablo Herrero, reigning European champion with the junior Spanish team, and Edu Calle, who lifted the World Cup with the national university team, has stood out. “We are very excited, we are a young team with a lot of passion and many new faces that come to build a magnificent defensive profile. This at first is tough and we know that we have work ahead, but we also have wicker and we are eager to do it because to compete against better squads requires attitude, aggression and commitment in defense”, Pisonero has explained.

The load will be progressive, from the first exercises in the gym to the debut in professional competition, going through up to six friendly matches during this summer. The first test will be next Thursday, August 8 at Huerta del Rey (8:00 p.m.) against Sporting de Portugal. The next match is scheduled for August 10 in Luanco (Asturias) against Bathco Torrelavega, the 17th in La Cistérniga (Valladolid) against the UBU San Pablo Burgos of Division of Honor Silver and Friday the 23rd in Cangas against the Frigoríficos del Morrazo. The Blue Gladiators will conclude their preseason with the dispute of the VII Castilla y León Cup that still has to define teams, schedules and venue. The semifinal will be on August 31 and the final on September 1.
