The ASOBAL General Assembly ratifies the affiliation of Sevilla BM Proin and BM Puerto Sagunto as associated clubs

ASOBAL held its Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly this Thursday, July 9, a day that saw the participation of all the clubs that make up the Spanish Professional Handball Clubs League. The meeting began with a report from the president of ASOBAL, Servando Revuelta, who provided a review of the 2025/2026 season, covering the evolution of the professional competition, the challenges faced during the year, and the action lines promoted by the Professional League.

During the session, the Assembly ratified the affiliation of Sevilla BM Proin and BM Puerto Sagunto as associated clubs of ASOBAL, entities that earned the sporting right of promotion from the División de Honor Plata in the 2025/2026 season. With this agreement, both clubs become part of ASOBAL's associative structure, with the processing of the corresponding registration procedure for their participation in the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL during the 2026/2027 season still pending.

Among the matters included on the agenda, the clubs approved the official calendar for the 2026/2027 season and ratified the plans and reports required by Law 39/2022, on Sport. Likewise, the Assembly validated ASOBAL's internal regulations, the Match Manual, the Competition Bases, and the participation conditions that will govern the upcoming season.
