The ASOBAL clubs' assembly was held.

The partners present at the ASOBAL General Assembly held in Valladolid hours before the ASOBAL 2024 Gala unanimously agreed not to accept that the subjects of the Coordination Agreement with the Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM) -according to article 96 of Law 39/2022 of December 30th, Sports- be unilaterally imposed by the federative entity, as happened last season. In the absence of a final agreement, they will only admit what is dictated, if applicable, through a resolution by the Superior Sports Council (CSD).

In the same line, the members of the ASOBAL League have decided to request an urgent meeting with the President of the Superior Sports Council, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, which will be attended by the Presidents of the partner Clubs, due to the lack of progress in the aforementioned Agreement and the proximity of the dispute of the next edition of the Plenitude League.

In the absence of an Agreement with the federation or resolution from the CSD, the clubs of the elite of Spanish men's handball will formalize the registration in the ASOBAL League itself before June 15th. During the Assembly, the rest of the day's points were approved, highlighting the League's Regulations, the conditions of affiliation and/or registration to the League and its competition, or the help to the relegation of the 2024/2025 season, among others.
