The president of ASOBAL, Servando Revuelta, participated this Thursday in the institutional act organized by the Seville City Council on the occasion of the historic promotion of Cajasol Sevilla BM Proin to the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League, becoming the first Sevillian handball club to reach the highest national category.
The reception, held in the Sala Colón of the City Hall, was headed by the mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, and had the presence of the president of the Sevillian club, Juan Ramón Jordán, along with local institutional representatives, sponsors, technical staff and players from the entity. The event allowed to highlight the trajectory of the project, emphasizing the continued work, the structural growth and the sports and social impact achieved during the last seasons, which have culminated in the promotion to professional handball.
The president of ASOBAL highlighted the growth of solid and ambitious initiatives such as that of the Sevillian team, emphasizing the importance of consolidating projects that combine sports competitiveness, social roots and future vision in the context of a professional league like ASOBAL. He also thanked the willingness and the reception shown by the municipal corporation, led by its mayor, during the institutional act held in the Andalusian capital.
Taking advantage of his visit to Seville, Servando Revuelta also held a working meeting with the leaders of Cajasol Sevilla BM Proin, in which he learned first-hand about the club's project and its lines of development for its future incorporation into the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League.
