Santiago Manguán closes his Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL season with Tubos Aranda Villa de Aranda victory (35-33)

Santiago Manguán closed tonight its 2025/2026 Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL season with a victory over ABANCA Ademar León (35-33), saying goodbye in style to its players, who will continue for another year as protagonists of Spanish professional handball. Javi Márquez's team secured the two points by competing, achieving the final reward at the buzzer, after 60 minutes of top-level play, lead changes on the scoreboard, and the best version of two teams that fought until the last possession. From the strong start by León’s side, better in the first stretch, to the reaction and subsequent dominance of the home team, led by Alberto Pinillos, Kiko Pereira, and David López. After the break and with a maximum lead of up to seven goals, ABANCA Ademar León kept working at the pace of their 6:0 defense, recovering balls and scoring on the counterattack until the scoreboard showed 34-33 with just over a minute left. A fly goal converted by David López and two saves by Teixeira definitively sealed the outstanding ASOBAL handball match.
