ASOBAL announces that the Superior Sports Council (CSD) has issued a resolution defining the necessary aspects for the development of the next edition of the Plenitude League following the pressure exerted by this entity for the state sports body to intervene, thus closing a procedure opened since August 1, 2023. In this way, a legal stability is defined to lay the foundations for the next season and the project of the elite of Spanish male handball, clearing the legal vacuum in which the competition clubs were found due to the absence of a coordination agreement between ASOBAL and the Royal Spanish Handball Federation.
The resolution, issued precisely hours before the celebration of the Spanish Federation Assembly, prevents the federative entity from being able to resolve or intervene unilaterally in matters that affect ASOBAL and the dispute of the Professional League -such as the sports calendar or economic conditions-, as this institution warned it.
The CSD resolution is reduced to the strictly necessary points for the dispute of the Professional Competition and, curiously, in the staging of the delivery of the Cup of the champion of the next League. ASOBAL will deeply examine all the points of the resolution in order to defend the interests of ASOBAL and its clubs.
