Luis Puertas' ABANCA Ademar León 2.0 is already preparing for the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL 26/27 season

ABANCA Ademar León is already working to face the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL 26/27 at full capacity, aiming to continue making progress and fully enter the fight for the top positions in the overall standings. Thus, Luis Puertas' team prepares for the return to professional competition from the Palacio Municipal de los Deportes Urbano González Escapa, with the presence of the two new signings of the project: Juan Castro and Adrián Casqueiro.

Two illustrious returns to ASOBAL handball and two homegrown players, directly linked to the DNA of the León squad. Between physical sessions and training clearly focused on work with and without the ball, ABANCA Ademar León prepares for its debut in Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL against Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto, one of the new teams in the 2026/2027 season circuit.

The preseason plan will be rounded off with six friendly matches to regain competitive speed. The first was this past Saturday and ended with a 35-39 victory against Frigoríficos del Morrazo. The next test was played on August 14 against the also Galician team Atlético Novás (39-30). ABANCA Ademar León will face CONFIA Balonmano Base Oviedo on August 22. They will again face them on August 29, along with Blendio Sinfín Santander. The Ademaristas will close their list of summer friendlies on September 4 against OAR Coruña.
