Jakub Prokop and Alejandro Díaz receive their 'All Star ASOBAL' awards from the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL 25/26

Jakub Prokop and Alejandro Díaz have been the next players to receive their award from the sports excellence framework 'All Star ASOBAL' of the latest edition of the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL. The Bathco BM. Torrelavega player lifted the trophy on the Vicente Trueba court, receiving the affection of his fans after being named months ago the best left back of the professional competition.

The player of the ?Orange Squad? achieved this recognition after being one of the great offensive references of the championship, finishing the 2025/2026 season in ninth position in the top scorers ranking with 130 goals, the second-best record among the left backs of the competition. A more than notable performance in his fourth season in the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL, his second with the orange team. Prokop added to his list of individual achievements the fact of being a candidate for the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL MVP of the month of November.

Minutes before the award ceremony in Torrelavega, Alejandro Díaz received his prize as author of the 'Best Goal of the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL 2025/2026'. The left winger did so before the match played by his Recoletas Salud At. Valladolid against Tubos Aranda Villa de Aranda, which ended with a victory for Pisonero's team, who remain undefeated at the top of the standings.

The winger from Valladolid won the award after capping off a double fly from end to end, with a final assist from Tao Gey-Emparan, in the very tight match of matchday 29 of the official calendar of the last campaign between ABANCA Ademar León and the team led by David Pisonero. The spectacular goal first received the 'Best Goal of May' award and, finally, the best offensive action of ASOBAL handball 25/26. Alejandro Díaz thus took over from his teammate Alejandro Pisonero, who won the 24/25 edition of the 'Best Goal of the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL' trophy.
