Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto achieves sporting promotion to Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL

Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto has achieved this Sunday the sporting promotion to Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL after defeating Fundación Balonmano Agustinos Alicante in the promotion play-off final (18-17). The team led by Sergio Mallo thus returns to the elite of professional Spanish handball two seasons later, signing a great end to the season.

The Pabellón Port de Sagunt has celebrated the success of its team, the second this season to secure the sporting ticket to ASOBAL handball after Cajasol Sevilla BM Proin, champion of the Men's División de Honor Plata. As in the case of the Seville team, Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto's participation in the top category next season will be subject to meeting the requirements established for professional clubs and the subsequent ratification by the Assembly.
