Decathlon Spain and ASOBAL celebrated this afternoon at the Decathlon Mollet del Vallès store the 'meet and greet' of the next edition of the Fraikin BM. Granollers-Barça of the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League, with the presence of players Sergi Franco and Dani Fernández. The Granollers captain and the Blaugrana left winger have shared impressions and anecdotes with fans and specialized press in a forum of opinion, interviews and shirt signing along with handball specialists from Decathlon, within the framework of the 'Great Derby' of the competition, which will be held this coming Sunday and will bear the label of "Match of the Day", monopolizing the media spotlight of the elite of handball.

"My brother started playing when he was a child and we played all day at home. This is how I entered the world of handball. Like Decathlon, which has been in everyone's life since we were children and it is a pride that the brand now bets on handball and on our league, with meetings like this one," commented Sergi Franco, highlighting the value of experience, part of the collaboration agreement between the professional competition and Decathlon, with the new ball of the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League, the Kipsta HB900, as the main protagonist.

"Handball gives me a lot of consistency and discipline typical of team sports, you have to be constantly supporting your teammates. As a captain, I transmit confidence to the team. We motivate ourselves to death and we go all out with everything. Derbies are always an extra, Barça is the opponent to beat because it is one of the great teams in the world," added the captain of the Vallesano team.

An experience between draws and surprises

The new sporting asset of the competition, the connection with the fan community and the mystique of the rivalry between the current leader of the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League and the reigning domestic champion have been the 'late motiv' of the first 'meet and greet' of the 2025/2026 season. "Decathlon is a very recognized brand in the world of sports and we are very satisfied with the ball. We want to achieve that by 2029 we can have the best handball in the world," explained Dani Fernández, who will play his first derby at the Palau d’Esports in Granollers after signing this summer with the team led by Carlos Ortega, reigning World Club Handball Champion.

"The line of this sport is very good, it is growing, it makes me happy to see that we are growing, that we are evolving. The values that our handball represents is to show it to the little ones. It is a pride to compete here and wear the Barça shirt," pointed out the Blaugrana player, valuing the moment of the ASOBAL seal, moments before attending to the fans who have been part of the activation of Decathlon Mollet del Vallès, among surprises and awards. Beyond meeting two of the idols of the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League, attendees have been able to photograph themselves with the competition champion trophy, participated in the draw for two tickets to the 'Great Derby' and in the official match pool, with the Kipsta HB900 ball as a great prize.
