Dani Fernández joins the ASOBAL All Star as the best left wing of the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL 25/26 League

Dani Fernández enters the 'All Star ASOBAL' 2025/2026 as the best left wing of the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL, thus crowning his season back at the elite of Spanish men's club handball. The Barça player achieves, in this way, his third presence in the ASOBAL handball excellence awards, after winning the award for best left corner specialist in the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 seasons, wearing the Frigoríficos del Morrazo jersey in both cases.

In this latest edition of the 'All Star ASOBAL', Dani Fernández prevailed with 48.89% of the votes ahead of Xabier Barreto (HORNEO BM. Alicante, second, 21.20%) and Pancho Lombardi (Dicorpebal Logroño La Rioja, third, 15.57%), who complete the podium of the overall selection process, divided between the popular phase (40%), the decision of the managers, coaches, and captains of the professional competition teams (40%), and the specialized press (20%).

Already as a symbol of the project led by Carlos Ortega, consolidated in the rhythm and equality of the professional competition, Fernández has performed at a superlative level, securing goals and being a key element in first and second wave transition actions. The full international with Spain was the top scorer of the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL champion with a total of 119 goals in 25 matches played, averaging 4.76 goals per match and an efficiency rate of 78%, the best figure in the entire circuit.

His fit in the blaugrana schemes and in the ASOBAL handball ecosystem was immediate. The left wing already showed in the first official calendar match his status as an idol of the professional competition, scoring 8 goals from 8 shots against HORNEO BM. Alicante to end up as part of the 'ideal 7' of matchday 1. His best performance?one of the most spectacular of the entire season?came in matchday 10, against Viveros Herol BM. Nava, with a stat line of 14 goals and 82% shooting efficiency to set the pace of the match from the corner and demonstrate his ability to be decisive.

Dani Fernández, who won the 'MVP of Matchday 10', is the sixth member of this season's 'All Star ASOBAL' following the announcements of Xoan Ledo (best goalkeeper, Dicorpebal Logroño La Rioja), Ludovic Fàbregas (best defender, Barça), Jakub Prokop (best left back, Bathco BM.
