BM. Torrelavega promotes inclusive handball with the project "We all play".

The Torrelaveguense club announced today, at a press conference, the birth of the project Jugamos todos, an initiative coordinated with the Fernando Arce Foundation and in collaboration with both the Torrelavega City Council and the Bondalti company. Attending the presentation were the Sports Councilor of the Torrelavega City Council, Nacho González; the director of Bathco BM. Torrelavega, Jorge Pérez; the director of the Bodalti plant in Torrelavega, Antonio Díaz; the head of studies of the Fernando Arce School, Javier Pérez; and the President of the Cantabrian Handball Federation, Juan Manuel Barquín.

Bathco BM. Torrelavega accentuates its social commitment with the launch of this inclusive handball project that seeks to bring our sport closer to people with different support needs with the aim of developing personal, social, physical and emotional skills through the practice of sport in a safe and stimulating environment.

This initiative has been well received with over 30 registrants who will form a training group with a weekly session at the facilities of the Fernando Arce Special Education Center. In addition, all participants in the project will have the opportunity to enjoy, live, the highest category of men's handball at club level as they have been invited to the commitment of the Plenitude League to be disputed by Bathco BM. Torrelavega and BM. Logroño La Rioja at the Vicente Trueba Pavilion next Saturday, March 9 at 8:00 p.m.

The director of the Cantabrian club, Jorge Pérez, has expressed the satisfaction of seeing the inclusive handball project in Torrelavega come true: “We had been thinking about it for years and this year, fortunately, we have had the support of many people who have joined this idea and we have been able to get it off the ground. In September we started to have the definitive idea, synergies arose with Bodalti and with the school, where everything has been made easy to get the project started. We were able to start it in early February and we will be here for a long time. The boys are very happy with the activity, I think the reception among the students has been very positive. When the season starts again we will resume it. For us, as a club, inclusive handball is one more section”.
