The Torrelavega team has won the silver medal in the Copa de S.M. El Rey in a final conquered by Barça (23-36), which comes with a direct ticket to the EHF European League. Bathco BM. Torrelavega manages to fulfill the dream of debuting in the second continental competition and of placing the Cantabrian city on the European map, following the wake of Santander with the historic Teka Cantabria.

Interestingly, both Bidasoa Irun and Bathco BM. Torrelavega will be “European” teams next 2024/2025 course. The irundarras achieve Plaza 1 while the Cantabrians get Plaza 2. Fraikin BM. Granollers is the third club that will compete in the EHF European League thanks to its third position in the Plenitude League 2023/2024 that guarantees the vallesanos Plaza 3. Barça, in its condition of Champion of the top category, will play a new edition of the EHF Champions League.
