ASOBAL strengthens its internationalization by broadcasting its matches in Argentina through Fox Sports.

ASOBAL, the Professional Handball League of Spain, advances in its audiovisual internationalization strategy through an agreement with Fox Sports for the broadcast in Argentina of the matches of the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League during the 2025/26 season. This alliance will guarantee the weekly retransmission of the most outstanding match of each day in one of the most relevant sports markets in Latin America.

This audiovisual agreement represents a further step in the global expansion of the ASOBAL brand, strengthening the commercial position of the competition and expanding the presence of its clubs and sponsors in new territories. In addition, it will allow to establish new opportunities for connection and loyalty of the Argentine audience with the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League, where Spanish handball generates enormous expectation due to the high competitive level and the large number of Argentine players present in the championship.

“Reaching Argentina means much more than broadcasting matches on television hand in hand with a partner like Fox Sports. The matches will be broadcast live each week through Fox Sports cable channels 2 and 3 in Argentina, consolidating a top-level audiovisual proposal, with an average reach of over 20,000 viewers per match. With the aim of connecting with new communities, the coverage will be reinforced with the contents of the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League on the 'Handball de Primera' program, which will offer results, tactical analysis and interviews with protagonists of the Spanish competition, available both on linear television and on its YouTube channel of Fox Sports, which has 160,000 subscribers.

To guarantee a professional and immersive experience, the broadcast will be in charge of a professional team of recognized trajectory: Hernán De Lorenzi, Argentine journalist and considered the voice of handball and of the great sports events in America; Florencia Ponce de León, outstanding international figure of Argentine handball; and Paula Heredia, sports journalist and active player.
