ASOBAL participated this Thursday in the second edition of PRO Inclusive Sport, an event driven by My Foundation Álex and organized by 2Playbook that brought together various organizations from the sports, institutional and social fields committed to the development of a more inclusive sport. The day, held in Barcelona, focused on the role of sport as an engine of inclusion, highlighting initiatives aimed at promoting equal opportunities and accessibility.

In this context, the general director of ASOBAL, Fernando Corral, participated in the round table dedicated to the role of competitions in the construction of a more inclusive sport. There he shared his vision with representatives of LALIGA, the ACB and the RFEF about the role that leagues should play in promoting inclusive projects and in generating opportunities on and off the court.

Corral explained how ASOBAL has been incorporating inclusion through the ASOBAL Legacy League (ALL), the strategic framework that organizes and articulates the sustainability initiatives of the competition and its clubs in the social, environmental and governance fields, also establishing a ranking parallel to the sports competition. Thanks to this model, the professional handball league integrates accessibility criteria and community relations into the daily management of the clubs.

Among these initiatives, Corral highlighted the shared commitment of ASOBAL and the clubs to the inclusive handball days of ASOBAL, designed to facilitate the participation of people with different abilities and promote integration through sport. This initiative, along with other social programs developed within the framework of the ALL, constitute a concrete example of the league's work to promote inclusion in the field of social sustainability, generating a legacy that transcends the sporting and involves the entire community.
