The Spanish Professional Handball Clubs League – ASOBAL held a new workshop this Thursday, November 5, as part of its development project as a professional competition, an initiative aimed at boosting the growth of clubs through support, training, and knowledge exchange. On this occasion, the session brought together remotely the professionals from the communication departments of the clubs in the 37th NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League to address the strategic value of sports photography, the first topic of work this season within the communication, brand, and audiovisual areas.
The training addressed the importance of photography as a communication tool for clubs, highlighting its ability to reinforce their brand image, increase their visibility, and enhance their commercial appeal. Likewise, its role in conveying the values of equality, talent, and emotion that define the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League was emphasized. Throughout the session, the different communication departments of the professional competition were able to analyze various ways to optimize and expand their audiovisual content through a practical lens, adapted to the ASOBAL handball ecosystem.
Additionally, the thematic workshop featured two segments led by the photographic departments of Tubos Aranda Villa de Aranda and Frigoríficos del Morrazo, who presented their working methods to generate brand through photography. The presentations reviewed the possibilities offered by the ‘Game Day’ concept, from pre-game to post-match, analyzing windows of opportunity, the development of a rundown that considers moments, physical positioning in the pavilion, and team configuration, as well as the ability to generate multi-format material – photographic and video – from the same sequence.
All aimed at optimizing and enriching the communication strategy of a top-level sports team, key in the task of maximizing the overall media narrative. ASOBAL, following this line, continues working hand in hand with its clubs through learning and knowledge exchange spaces, seeking the optimization of processes and the development of all actors that make up Spanish professional handball.
