ASOBAL launches a new edition of ‘ASOBAL Fantasy’ from this moment, the first online game in ‘manager’ format in the history of elite Spanish handball, which will once again allow fans to step into the shoes of the coaches of the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL and demonstrate their mastery of the competition. The 2.0 scenario returns to enjoy the excitement of professional Spanish handball, its players, and the diverse equality ecosystem of the ASOBAL brand from a unique perspective.
Members of ‘ASOBAL Fantasy’ 26/27 will have to build and strengthen their squads weekly to generate the highest possible score and compete for monthly prizes and the grand awards at the end of the season. The user who scores the most points each month (from this September until next June 2027, except for January 2027, when there will be no activity) will receive a voucher worth 50 euros to redeem at the ‘ASOBAL online space at Decathlon’.
The leader of the overall ranking after matchday 30 of the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL will win the jersey of their favorite team in the competition and a 50-euro voucher to use at the ‘ASOBAL online space at Decathlon’. The second and third place finishers will receive the official ball of the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL, the Kipsta HB900 of the 2026/2027 season, as well as a 50-euro voucher redeemable at the exclusive Decathlon online space, the main sports sponsor of ASOBAL.
Become the master of the competition
How to dominate and be the best coach in ‘ASOBAL Fantasy’? Through the platform’s website and once a profile is created, users will assemble their squads with a budget of 2.5M and enter the same competition, governed by a scoring system linked to the statistical performance of the players (goals, assists, missed shots, saves, or exclusions, among other parameters) and their teams in the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL (wins, losses, and draws).
Each participant in ‘ASOBAL Fantasy’ will have a fixed initial budget that must be distributed as skillfully as possible to define their best starting seven, with two wingers, two backs, one center, one pivot, and one goalkeeper, plus a spot for substitutes, who cannot score more than 50% of their value. To carry out the selection process, the market value assigned to each player in the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL, current form — which will modify prices as the competition progresses — and the ability to spot future stars who ensure high performance in exchange for a low financial outlay must be considered. Each user can make changes up to one hour before the start of the first matchday game, either by substituting between starters and substitutes or by going to the transfer market.
