ASOBAL, the Spanish Professional Handball Clubs League, celebrates this Monday, September 7, the second edition of the ‘Sponsor Day ASOBAL’, the presentation event that kicks off a new season of the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League and the development and expansion project of professional Spanish handball. The Pons Foundation (Madrid) will once again be - after last year’s success - the meeting point for clubs, sponsors, institutions, and media, the cornerstone of the ASOBAL ecosystem, which is constantly growing and this season debuts a new television framework with the launch of ASOBAL TV.
The professional competition will review the 2025/2026 season and will go over the renewed audiovisual model and other strategic lines that will be implemented over the coming months, continuing its work of global professionalization through sports entertainment, building its brand universe, and a commercial network alongside strategic partners to keep betting on innovation and sustainability in professional sports.
ASOBAL Hall of Fame Awards
The ‘Sponsor Day ASOBAL’ will also stage the award ceremony for the members of the third generation of the professional Spanish handball sports excellence seal, made up of Mateo Garralda, David Barrufet, Albert Rocas, Manolo Cadenas, and Rafa Guijosa. Five legends of international sport who represent talent, the weight of legacy, and the values that define the ASOBAL seal.
The second edition of the ‘Sponsor Day ASOBAL’ reinforces the organization’s commitment to the development of professional sport and the construction of a sustainable model that benefits clubs, players, sponsors, and fans. With this event, the professional competition officially kicks off a season that promises excitement and spectacle, reaffirming its role as a growth engine for handball in Spain.
