The Spanish Professional Handball Clubs League (ASOBAL) and the State Agency Spanish Commission for the Fight Against Doping in Sport (CELAD) held on Wednesday the second monitoring meeting of the agreement signed between both entities. The meeting, held virtually, allowed for the evaluation of initiatives promoted during the 2025/26 season and the definition of the next lines of action to continue strengthening joint work.

During the session, both institutions made a positive assessment of the actions developed within the framework of the agreement, with special attention to the training program promoted by ASOBAL. In collaboration with CELAD, the Professional League has organized various meetings aimed at players, technical staff, executives, club personnel, and other professional handball stakeholders with the goal of reinforcing knowledge of anti-doping regulations and promoting a culture of fair play in competition.

The sessions have addressed key aspects such as doping control procedures, the rights and obligations of athletes, the responsible use of medications and supplements, therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs), and the main updates in anti-doping regulations. Additionally, they have provided practical tools to prevent risk situations and contribute to the development of an honest, responsible, and sustainable handball, in line with the principles promoted by ASOBAL.
