In the framework of the collaboration agreement between ASOBAL and the Spanish Commission for the Fight against Doping in Sports (CELAD), the professional handball league has closed its cycle of training sessions of the season, reinforcing its commitment to doping prevention and the promotion of fair play.

This Monday, the third and final day was held in a virtual format, with the participation of the clubs that make up the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League. The session was especially aimed at athletes' support staff and focused on the Therapeutic Use Authorizations (TUA), an essential mechanism to allow medical treatments without compromising anti-doping regulations.

During the day, attendees were able to delve into the procedures and responsibilities associated with the TUA, ensuring that athletes receive the necessary care in a safe manner and in accordance with international standards. Also, the training also contributes to strengthen the internal management of the clubs in anti-doping matters, minimizing risks and promoting a clean and transparent competitive environment.

Thanks to initiatives like this, ASOBAL strengthens the model of a sustainable professional handball, based on its project of the ASOBAL Legacy League (ALL), where training, athlete protection, and regulatory compliance are fundamental for the development of a solid and future competition.
