Aranda vibrates with the First Inclusive Handball Day promoted by ASOBAL.

The Santiago Manguán Pavilion in Aranda de Duero transformed this Saturday into the epicenter of inclusive handball in Spain with the celebration of the I Inclusive Handball Day Villa de Aranda–ASOBAL, an event framed within the ASOBAL Legacy League (ALL), the competition's comprehensive sustainability program, and which, in this case, focuses on cooperation between clubs in significant social initiatives.

The day symbolized the commitment of ASOBAL and its clubs to a model of sport that transcends the courts and unites players with and without functional diversity, clubs, fans, sponsors and entities around a single purpose: to build a more social, inclusive and legacy league.

The initiative, which reinforces the promotion of inclusive handball in professional sport, brought onto the court of the NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL League the inclusive teams Doncel ASADEMA La Caixa Villa de Aranda, BM Cuenca, BM Torrelavega and BM Guadalajara, in friendly matches with an adapted format, designed to promote the participation and inclusion of all players.

The event transformed into a true celebration of inclusive handball, with an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm, camaraderie and respect, reflecting the passion of all participants and the firm commitment of ASOBAL to equal opportunities. The day, which could be followed in streaming and on the official channels of ASOBAL and the Club Balonmano Villa de Aranda, became a national reference event for inclusive handball, reaffirming the visibility and social impact of the ALL.

With this initiative, ASOBAL, together with the Club Balonmano Villa de Aranda, the City Council of Aranda de Duero and the Association for the aid of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (ASADEMA), reaffirms its commitment to economic and governance sustainability, social and environmental, demonstrating that professional sport can be an instrument of positive change. The day also had the support of Nexus Energía, Quimera Infinita and Luzilia, collaborators who contributed to making this project possible.
