The Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL 2025/2026 has definitively closed its doors after announcing the 'All Star ASOBAL' and the rest of the individual awards that highlight the talent, commitment, and performance of the great idols of the professional competition. A season marked by equality on the court, competitiveness in each of the 240 matches on the official calendar, with the championship of a historic Barça led by Carlos Ortega, the runner-up finish of Dicorpebal Logroño La Rioja, Marcos Fis as the 'Nexus Energía MVP of the season', and the remarkable historic debut of EON BM. Alicante and BM. Caserío Ciudad Real.
The spectacle has moved to the stands and the various venues that make up the ASOBAL ecosystem, driving once again the evolution and positioning of the brand of the elite of Spanish men's club handball. A total of 395,780 spectators have accompanied the ASOBAL clubs throughout the 2025/26 season, making this edition the one with the highest attendance since the 2012/13 campaign. The average attendance, standing at 1,649 spectators per match, reflects the positive trend of a competition that continues to expand its reach and consolidate a sustained growth trend in recent seasons.
This evolution goes hand in hand with the expansion of the television product, which has reached 8.3 million live viewers during this latest edition of the Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL, surpassing previous records through 459 live broadcasts on LALIGA+ and open coverage on TVE (Teledeporte and RTVE Play), as well as up to five regional and autonomous community channels.

Wearing the professional competition seal for the third year, ASOBAL has continued consolidating its project alongside clubs, fans, institutions, and partners to guarantee the present and future of professional Spanish handball. In this regard, Nexus Energía has renewed its partnership with ASOBAL this year to maintain its status as official sponsor and title sponsor of Liga ASOBAL until the 2028/2029 season. The leading energy company will continue to support a Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL that guarantees a great experience from the arena and the digital ecosystem, with the 'ASOBAL Community' as the cornerstone of the 2.0 project, putting the fans at its center.
They have been responsible for selecting the great individual awards of the season, highlighting the 'Nexus Energía MVP of the month', have been able to dress as coaches of the professional competition in the 'ASOBAL Fantasy', or have enjoyed initiatives with a unique immersive perspective such as the different editions of the 'ASOBAL Reporter' or activations like the launch of a new edition of the physical Panini sticker collection of Liga NEXUS ENERGÍA ASOBAL, the 'Meet&greet' of the 'Great Derby' between Fraikin BM. Granollers and Barça, or the awarding of the championship title to Barça, among other great moments of the official calendar.
This journey to guarantee the best experience for the true protagonists of the professional competition has once again passed through the work that ASOBAL carries out with its teams, through projects such as the ASOBAL Hub or ASOBAL Legacy League (ALL), pioneering initiatives aimed at supporting the sustainable growth of clubs and strengthening their development capacity. The ALL closed this season with the Sustainability Action 2025 award, recognizing its work in the social, environmental, and economic-governance sustainability fields to promote a common vision of progress aligned with the new challenges of today's sport. Details that portray the magnitude of the ASOBAL brand and its ability to continue strengthening its foundations.
