Ángel Ximénez Puente Genil has started rolling. The new project in Puente Genil began its preseason this Monday, starting the journey of trainings, mentorships, and tactical notes for the debut in the NEXUS ENERGY ASOBAL League. It has done so with the first sessions that serve as a contact with the track of Mayor Miguel Salas and the presence of the club's president, Mariano Jiménez, and Sergio Mª Velasco, mayor of Puente Genil.
The team, led once again by Paco Bustos, has been reinforced with Elcio Calvalho, Mario Dorado, Borivoje Djukic and David Estepa, who was already part of the squad in the final stretch of the previous season. The four signings have exercised with the rest of the group, which still cannot count on Domingo Luís and Claudio Ramos, who are in the process of recovering from their respective injuries. The players from the subsidiary Antonio Pineda and Oscar Mccormick and the juniors Yeray Gallardo, José Luis Murillo and Pedro Bermúdez have completed the roster of players available to work.
All with the objective of arriving at cruising speed for the debut in the elite of Spanish men's handball clubs on the track of Fraikin BM. Granollers (first day, weekend of August 13 and 14). The road to this date goes through an August marked by friendly preparation matches. First against BM Guadalajara (August 16) and Caserío Ciudad Real, who they will visit one day later. Later the team will travel to Portugal to face SL Benfica and Os Belenenses on August 22 and 23. Back in Puente Genil, the Andalusian Handball Cup will take place, set for August 30 and with an opponent yet to be defined. The last date will be in Seville on Friday, September 5 against BM Proin from the Silver Honor Division.
